Catherine Dunne, who has won the 2009 'Draw for a wek
in West Cork', is the author of six previous novels.
She has also written about Irish immigration, in 'An Unconsidered
People' She has been a great
friend and supporter of the Yasin Foundation from its early beginnings
in 2007, participating in our first
fund-raising cookery demonstration (by the founder of the
Foundation, Nausheen Ahmad) and our most recent major fund-raising event
- 'From Sligo to Sialkot' - in April 2009.
Catherine's 'Week in West Cork' will be in
Glengarriff Lodge, Glengarriff, once the home of Brenda and Said Yasin,
in whose memory the Yasin Foundation has been named.
This beautiful, thatched house - see copy of raffle ticket below
for more info - is the perfect setting for any writer, artist or
musician; and is also
ideal for family holidays and people who enjoy working, walking, cooking
or relaxing in lovely surroundings!
