How & When to Apply
Initial Expressions of Interest should reach the trustees by December 1,
2010.These should:
-
Provide the candidate's main personal and contact details
-
Specify their previous course(s) of study and/or work
record
-
Indicate the post-graduate course they wish to pursue in
Ireland
-
Describe what they see as the relevance and value of this
course when they return to Pakistan.
After assessing these initial Expressions of Interest, the
Trustees will, by late December, request Full Applications from some 10 to 15
candidates. The closing date for completed applications will be January 31,
2011. Candidates should use the prescribed Application Form.
Please click here to download the
Application Form.
Following receipt of the full applications, the Trustees will
draw up a 'shortlist' of 5 or 6 women and place them in order of preference.
Then, if the first two candidates succeed in securing places in their chosen
courses of study, one or both may become the next recipients of the Yasin
scholarships (depending on the availability of sufficient funds). If not, the
opportunity will pass to the third, fourth or subsequent candidate, provided
that they have secured their college places. This process should be completed by
mid-to-late February, depending on the course and college chosen and their own
particular timescales.

The Trustees' decisions will be final; and canvassing will
disqualify; however, the criteria and procedures will be as open and transparent
as possible and candidates who are shortlisted in one year will not be precluded
from applying in subsequent years.
A list of Colleges and Universities in Ireland is provided in
the 'Universities' section to assist potential candidates who may wish to
contact them, access their websites, ascertain courses of study offered by them,
check costs, closing dates for applications, and so on.
